Lord Save Us! Devotional

WEDNESDAY EVENING DEVOTIONAL

“Lord save us!– Wednesday, March 25, 2020

Matthew 8:23-27

23 And when he got into the boat, his disciples followed him. 24 And behold, there arose a great storm on the sea, so that the boat was being swamped by the waves; but he was asleep. 25 And they went and woke him, saying, “Save us, Lord; we are perishing.” 26 And he said to them, “Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?” Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. 27 And the men marveled, saying, “What sort of man is this, that even winds and sea obey him?”

3. When you have faced serious storms in your life, how do they compare to the experience the disciples had in this boat? How does their physical experience relate to perhaps your emotional, mental, social experience?

4. What does ‘calm’ look like in the storms of life you have faced or are currently facing?

5. What are the most common ways you handle your fears without Jesus?

6. Can you think of a time you’ve really trusted Jesus in storm? How has that worked out?

7. What is something you’re facing right now that you need ask Jesus for help with?
